Fans speculate on AngBeKi rift as Bela Padilla’s “friendship breakup” remarks resurface

“I hate hearing about friends whose relationships get ruined in the end because so many hurtful things were said. At one point in your life, you guys were each other’s best friends. No one knew you better than each other,” she shared in an interview with Rec•Create.

Bela further reflected on how painful it can be when close friendships reach a breaking point.

“Why did you get to a point na magsasalita kayo ng ganyan, magsasakitan kayo, mamimili pa ’yung mga barkada niyo between the two of you, when at one point you were each other’s number one fans?”

While not referring to any personal experience, Bela also offered advice to those going through friendship breakups.

“Let go while you still can. You can’t expect people to stay in your life forever talaga. Some people are just chapters, and that’s okay. Ikaw ’yung main character ng book mo, eh. Ikaw lang ’yung mag-i-stay in the end.”

Formed in 2017, “AngBeKi” became the beloved nickname for the close-knit trio, a playful combination of their names: Ang-elica, Be-la, and Ki-m. Over the years, they have publicly shown unwavering support for one another, standing side by side during major milestones, including the baptism of Angelica’s daughter, Baby Bean, and Angelica’s wedding celebrations.
