Zamboanga facility named Outstanding Developer, recognized for modern and culturally sensitive memorial care services.
Golden Haven Zamboanga Crematorium has been named Gold Winner in the Outstanding Developer (Specialized / Purpose-Built) Category at the FIABCI Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards 2026, held at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City.
The recognition highlights a facility designed around professional, dignified, and environmentally controlled cremation services, built to support families in Zamboanga City and nearby communities during moments of loss.
Completed in 2024, the development brings together key spaces including a welcoming lobby, viewing rooms, crematorium facilities, and service areas arranged to support privacy, order, and care throughout each step of the process.
Set within an accessible urban corridor near hospitals, schools, and commercial centers, the site was planned to make services easier to reach for families while maintaining a calm environment for remembrance. Positioned beside Golden Haven Memorial Parks – Zamboanga, it forms part of an integrated memorial care estate designed to expand options for end-of-life arrangements in the region, including a practical alternative to traditional burial practices.
As the first privately owned crematorium in Zamboanga City, the project addresses a long-standing need for modern memorial infrastructure in the area, while also allowing greater flexibility for families with different cultural, religious, and personal preferences in honoring loved ones. The facility also supports local employment and skills development through its day-to-day operations, adding steady economic activity linked to the service.
FIABCI recognized the development for its architectural clarity, operational execution, and social contribution, placing it among standout projects in the specialized real estate category. The awarding body also underscored its role in advancing memorial care services that combine function, dignity, and community relevance.
Golden Haven Division Head Emelia Lustado said the recognition reflects the company’s continued focus on improving how memorial care is delivered in the country.
“This Gold Award from FIABCI affirms our mission to elevate memorial care in the Philippines through dignity, compassion, and innovation. The Zamboanga Crematorium is more than a facility—it is a promise that every family we serve will be given the respect and care they deserve in their most difficult moments,” Lustado said.
