Is Herlene Budol the next MGI All Stars contender? Here’s her game plan

Comedienne-queen shares playful yet bold strategy for possible All Stars bid.

After the successful stints of five Filipinas at the inaugural Miss Grand International All Stars in Bangkok, Thailand, pageant fans have been abuzz after comedienne-turned-beauty queen Herlene Budol shared her thoughts on possibly joining the MGI Allstars pageant.

On social media, Herlene was among the pageant fans who supported and watched her fellow beauty queens in the competition, where she couldn’t help but react to one post, saying:

“Kung may 30% vote from 1st segment hanggang coronation night may boss amo manager naman ako na si Wilbert Tolentino. panigurado lalapagan ng paldong paldo sa vote ko pang hatak sa pa gewang gewang kong Question & Answer,” she shared.

Herlene, who was also carried away by the performances of the Filipina queens on the All Stars stage,  even shared a game plan that she believes could work to her advantage in winning the crown.

“Pero ‘yong tanong kagabi ma e tawid ko naman bahagya sa gamit ng sariling wika at si interpreter na magde-deliver ng mas mayos pa sa Lalamove & Baklain ko at larushi ko Lang sila. Tapos durog ako uli sa mga bashers,” she shared, followed by a laughing-out-loud “bwahahaha.”

It can be recalled that Herlene first stepped onto the national pageant stage through Binibining Pilipinas in 2022, where she finished as first runner-up. In the same year, she was appointed as the country’s representative to Miss Planet International. She later joined Miss Grand International Philippines 2023, where she was crowned Miss Philippines Tourism 2023.

Following Colombia’s Vanessa Pulgarin’s victory in the inaugural MGI Allstars, Miss Grand International owner Nawat Itsaragrisil, who also organized the competition, confirmed that there will be another All Stars edition, which is set to take place in February 2027.
