Jonas Gaffud faces backlash after viral video shows alleged phone-smashing incident

The incident reportedly happened during the segment of actor Ralph de Leon, who encountered a technical issue with his microphone while introducing a portion of the pageant.

“MUPH head Jonas Gaffud caught smashing a phone toward a person in front of him due to a technical error,” the uploader captioned in a post, claiming to have attended the coronation night.

As the situation escalated, based on the uploaded video, Jonas was seen appearing hysterical, drawing attention from fans who witnessed his approach toward the staff.

The uploader added: “Someone needs to call out Jonas Gaffud for his bad behavior, sa totoo lang. FYI, hindi kasama sa paycheck na saktan sila ng boss nila,” the uploader wrote. “If you see Gazini here, na-shock talaga si Gazini, plus ang apat na judges na nakita ‘tong ginawa ng MUPH head. Jusko, ang bastos!!!”

The video is now circulating on social media, with some netizens calling out the actions of the world-renowned pageant maker.

As of this writing, the other party remains unidentified, while Jonas Gaffud and the Miss Universe Philippines Organization have yet to release any statement regarding the matter.
