Filipina beauty ends 13-year drought, becomes second PH winner after Mutya Datul with standout performance in Poland.
The Philippines has another reason to celebrate on the international pageant stage after Katrina Llegado was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 during the grand coronation night held in Poland on July 31, besting 67 other delegates from around the world.
Llegado became only the second Filipina to win the prestigious title, ending the country’s 13-year wait since Mutya Datul made history as the first Miss Supranational winner from the Philippines in 2013. Her victory further strengthens the country’s reputation as one of the world’s leading pageant powerhouses.
A seasoned competitor, Llegado has long established herself in the pageant scene. She was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 before finishing as fifth runner-up (Quinta Finalista) at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 pageant in Bolivia.
In 2025, she earned the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Supranational after placing in the Top 6 of the Miss Universe Philippines competition.
Throughout the international pageant, Llegado stood out with her elegance, confidence, and commanding stage presence.
One of the highlights of her journey was the national costume competition, where she paid tribute to the Filipino hibiscus, or gumamela, through an elaborate ensemble featuring oversized flower petals and a striking headdress that showcased Filipino artistry and craftsmanship.
She sealed her victory during the final question-and-answer round after being asked:
“Tell us about the moment you stopped trying to become the woman the world expected, and you started becoming the woman you were really meant to be.”

“I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect. I am someone who struggles with perfection. But I am here today, doing my best and becoming my best version. And here in Miss Supranational, I know I belong. I know there is a place for me, and this is becoming SUPRA—above and beyond,” she answered.
Her sincere and empowering response resonated with both the judges and the audience, ultimately securing the coveted crown.
Miss France finished as first runner-up, followed by Miss Brazil as second runner-up, while Miss Nigeria and Miss Czech Republic completed the Top 5 as third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
With the Miss Supranational 2026 title now hers, Llegado opens a new chapter in the Philippines’ illustrious pageant history.
More than bringing home another international crown, she begins her reign as an ambassador of beauty, confidence, and purpose, carrying the hopes and pride of millions of Filipinos around the world.
