From “Miss Saigon” to “Hamilton,” these Filipino stars bring their award-winning experience back to the “Les Misérables” universe.

“Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular” brings together powerhouse Filipino theater talents and celebrated West End and Broadway performers for a limited Manila run.

Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, announced its initial casting for Boublil and Schönberg’s long-awaited production at The Theatre at Solaire from January 20 to March 1, 2026. 

Filipino performers Lea Salonga, Rachelle Ann Go, Red Concepción, and Emily Bautista continue the proud legacy of Filipino excellence on the world stage. More Filipinos also joined the cast after local auditions were held in Manila recently.

Lea Salonga

Lea has played both Éponine and Fantine in “Les Misérables” on Broadway, reprising Éponine in the 10th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall and Fantine in the 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2. She originated the role of Kim in “Miss Saigon” in the West End and on Broadway, earning the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. She also lent her singing voice to Princess Jasmine in “Aladdin,” Fa Mulan in “Mulan” and “Mulan II,” and Celine in the animated musical fantasy “K-Pop Demon Hunters.”

Rachelle Ann Go

Rachelle Ann, meanwhile, has played Fantine in the West End production of “Les Misérables” and Gigi in “Miss Saigon” on both Broadway and the West End. She also appeared as Gigi in the filmed 25th Anniversary production of “Miss Saigon.” She starred as Eliza Hamilton in the West End premiere of “Hamilton,” later reprising the role on the “Hamilton International Tour,” and most recently returned as Fantine for the “Les Misérables Arena Tour” celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Red Concepcion

Red also previously played the role of Thénardier in “Les Misérables” at The Muny, St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre. His further theatre credits include Amos Hart in “Chicago” on Broadway, The Engineer in “Miss Saigon,” which toured across the US, the UK, and Ireland. 

Emily Bautista

Emily returns to the “Les Misérables” World Tour with a role she previously played in the North American Tour of “Les Misérables.” Her theatre credits include the role of Kim in Miss Saigon for the North American Tour, having also understudied and played the role on Broadway, as well as Do You Hear The People Sing? at The Hollywood Bowl and the world premiere of Vanara at the Hackney Empire.

Cast of characters

In this production, Salonga plays Madame Thénardier, Go portrays Fantine, Concepción takes on Thénardier, and Bautista appears as Éponine. They are joined by Gerónimo Rauch as Jean Valjean, Jeremy Secomb as Javert, Will Callan as Marius, Lulu-Mae Pears as Cosette, Harry Chandler as Enjolras, and Earl Carpenter as the Bishop of Digne.

Other Filipino talents

Other Filipino talent will shine through its musicians who perform the show’s powerful score on stage. The production will feature a large ensemble of musicians, both Filipino and international, performing Claude-Michel Schönberg’s sweeping and unforgettable music live. 

Among the Filipino musicians are John Gerald Calma, Dino Decena, Mary Anne Espina, Francisco Llorin, Mhaze Lim, Jonathan Livioco, Dondon Lucena, Luke Manuel, Kier Manimtim, Marloe Maruyama, Gabriel Mendoza, Paul Ramos, Coi Reyes, Steve Retallick, Raymond Sarreal, Jordan San Jose, and Miko Villena.

The cast is completed by Jonathon Bentley, Georgina Blessitt, Amelia Broadway, Michael Burgen, Mary Jean Caldwell, Rosy Church, Gabrielle Cummins, Beth Curnock, Shaun Dalton, Jade Davies, Jonathan David Dudley, Harry Dunnett, Louis Emmanuel, Charlie Geoghegan, Connor Jones, Abel Law, Adam Robert Lewis, Andrew Maxwell, Jill Nalder, Lisa Peace, Emma Ralston, Ciaran Rodger, James Sillman, Harry Grant Smith, Jo Stephenson, Geddy Stringer, Helen Walsh, and Owain Williams.
