Set your calendars as the ring awaits.
Two iconic boxing champions will meet again at the ring 11 years after their fight, widely considered as the “Battle of the Greats”, took the world by storm. And this time, it will be livestreamed on one of the most popular streaming platforms.
The renowned boxers, Manny Pacquiao, 47, and Floyd Mayweather, 49, will have a professional rematch set at the Las Vegas Sphere this upcoming September 19, marking it as the first boxing event to be held at the location. To add on that, Netflix also announced that it will also livestream the event.
Ever since their fight last May 2015, both boxers continue to become active in the ring with different career paths. Currently, Manny has won 12 world titles across eight weight divisions, while Floyd has won 15 major world championships.
A high-stakes professional showdown
While both Manny and Floyd are in their late 40s and way past their primes, the sudden comeback of two fighters for another battle excites fans across the world.
With more than 6 months to go, fans are now tense. Will Manny come out victorious, or will Floyd win a second battle?
Either way, this upcoming rematch would be one of the most anticipated fights of the decade.
