At 19, the indie pop artist teases her debut album “LIKAS” and sets her sights on dream collabs with OPM heavyweights.
Imagine having the vocal chops to open for OPM royalty, the songwriting skills to craft a full-length debut album at 19, and the ultimate dream board of collaborating with Yeng Constantino, Maki, and Sarah Geronimo.
If Isha Ponti isn’t on your playlists yet, consider this your official wake-up call!
The 19-year-old rising pop artist just gave a massive preview of her next music era during an intimate media conference on May 30.
She delivered a live performance of her track “Bakas,” giving everyone a hauntingly beautiful taste of her upcoming debut full-length album, “LIKAS,” which officially drops on June 20.
While she might still be a secret to the mainstream crowd, day-one fans already know why she’s dubbed “Asia’s Pop Sweetheart.” Isha is entirely running her own show under her independent label, Ponti Entertainment Production.
Her secret weapon? Vocals heavily inspired by the emotional, soulful balladeer rhythms of 2000s OPM—a nostalgic, throwback sound that already snagged her the prestigious Aliw Award for Best New Female Artist back in 2024.
Before stepping fully into her own spotlight, Isha was already sharing massive stages, opening for OPM icons like Marco Sison and Nonoy Zuñiga. Now, she’s ready to translate her raw teenage experiences into a full-length auditory diary.
“LIKAS” promises an emotional, highly relatable journey exploring five distinct phases, from longing, illusion, kindness, acceptance, and self-love.
Set your alarms for June 20, because you’ll definitely want to claim your “I was streaming her before she went global” card early.
