Oyo Sotto, Kristine Hermosa divide fans after revealing ‘no exes’ rule for projects and intimate scenes.

Real-life couple Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa have sparked online discussion after sharing their personal rule about working with former partners on “House of D.”

The episode centered on the question: “Should you be friends with your ex?” The conversation began with host Dina Bonnevie and her daughter Danica Sotto, who reflected on relationships after breakups.

Danica shared that her late stepfather, former Agriculture Undersecretary Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano, was uncomfortable with Dina maintaining friendships with her former partners, saying he preferred setting clear boundaries with exes.

Dina was previously married to Oyo and Danica’s father, comedian-TV host Vic Sotto. The two were considered one of local showbiz’s most iconic couples in the 1980s. They married in 1982, separated in 1986, and had their marriage annulled in 1992.

The discussion then shifted to Oyo and Kristine, who revealed that they have a similar agreement in their marriage.

“We both agree, and it’s our own personal conviction, na ayaw na naming makatrabaho ‘yong mga ex namin… Syempre kung kunyari lagyan kayo ng bed scene, kissing scene… parang ayaw ko naman na nakikita ko na may kahalikan na ibang lalaki ‘yong asawa ko,” Oyo said.

Kristine agreed, explaining that while they remain cordial with their exes, they no longer keep in touch. “Civil kami, pero hindi na ’yung point na nag-uusap pa kami,” she shared, adding, “Pinoprotektahan mo lang ’yong relationship, ’yong marriage.”

Among their most notable former partners are Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales.

The episode quickly drew mixed reactions online. While some argued that the arrangement may have limited Kristine’s career opportunities, others defended the couple, saying the agreement was mutual and reflects the boundaries they have chosen to protect their marriage.
