Reciprocal arrangement keeps short-stay travel open, supporting tourism, business trips, and cross-border mobility between the Philippines and Taiwan.

The Philippines will continue allowing Taiwan passport holders to enter visa-free for up to 14 days, with the policy extended until 30 June 2027, according to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office.

The decision follows Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs extending visa-exempt access for Philippine passport holders until 31 July 2026, keeping the reciprocal travel arrangement in place between the two sides.

Entry under the scheme remains straightforward, with clear limits on length of stay and no option for extension. Taiwan passport holders may enter the Philippines visa-free for short visits, while longer stays will still require the appropriate visa secured before arrival. Existing entry requirements introduced in July 2025 continue to apply.

Short trips between the Philippines and Taiwan are expected to remain steady under the setup, supporting tourism activity, business visits, and professional exchanges that depend on quick travel access. Airlines, hotels, and service-related industries that rely on cross-border movement also stand to benefit from the continued flow of visitors and outbound Filipino travelers.
