June vehicle sales climbed 11% from May as stronger demand lifted the industry’s best monthly performance this year.
Auto dealers had their busiest month of the year in June after stronger consumer demand pushed new vehicle sales to fresh highs, giving the industry more confidence that momentum could carry through the rest of 2026.
Vehicle sales reached 37,231 units in June, up 11% from May and marking the industry’s strongest monthly performance so far this year, according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA).
Including industry estimates, the broader market moved around 42,000 new vehicles, an 18.7% increase from the previous month.
Higher vehicle sales mean more business not only for carmakers and dealers but also for banks, insurers, service centers and thousands of workers whose jobs depend on a healthy automotive sector.
CAMPI President Jose Maria Atienza said the industry is entering the second half of the year with greater optimism after new gasoline, diesel and electrified models introduced during the Philippine International Motor Show helped generate buyer interest.
Toyota Motor Philippines remained the market leader with 17,627 units sold, followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines with 6,535 units. Suzuki, Ford and Honda completed the top five.
