Piolo Pascual, Yul Servo workout video prompts pandesal jokes

Boxer-clad fitness video goes viral as fans gush over abs, friendship, and unexpected cameo by actor-politician Yul Servo.

A morning workout routine can easily go viral, especially if it features actor Piolo Pascual.

In a humorous social media Reel shared by filmmaker Dante Nico Garcia, Pascual was seen doing stretching exercises before a heavy workout, clad only in his boxers. The clip prompted playful reactions online, including one netizen joking about craving pandesal for breakfast.

“Ang sarap ng pandesal sa umaga kaso bawal muna ako magkape eh,” one user quipped, referencing Pascual’s 6-pack abs.

The Reel became even more interesting when the camera panned to actor-turned-politician Yul Servo, one of Pascual’s longtime friends, who joined him for the workout.

The lighthearted video quickly caught fans’ attention, with many flooding the comments section. “Hahaha ang cute nila,” one wrote.

Prior to the viral clip, Servo shared an appreciation post for Pascual, expressing gratitude for his trust and reflecting on their enduring friendship. It appears Pascual commissioned him to create artwork for his property.

“Salamat, tol, sa tiwala. Isang karangalan na ako ang napili para likhain ang artwork ng napakagandang lugar na ito. Halos isang dekada man ang lumipas, walang kupas ang pagkakaibigan. Parang kahapon lang ang huli nating pagkikita. Maraming salamat, tol,” Servo wrote.

Pascual and Servo first worked together on the 2006 indie short film “Kagat ng Dilim” by the late Cesar Hernando. They have remained close friends and collaborators for over two decades, with Pascual even serving as godfather to four of Servo’s children.

Meanwhile, Garcia said he was surprised to see Servo at Pascual’s home during that visit. He added that the two had seen each other at a party two weeks earlier, which turned into a reunion of sorts for the three of them, who had not seen each other in 21 years.

“Inumaga kami. Agawan ng airtime kasi lahat sabik magkuwento,” Garcia recalled. “Ang naalala ko na huli naming unli-kuwentuhan ay noong 2005 pa.”

He then joked that the recent meeting marked the start of the Kapitan Kalikasan WorkOut program, with Pascual as the trainer.
