Keep it up, RJ! 👏

Model and pageant king Calix Esguerra receives nothing but praise as he defends pageant aspirant RJ Perkins.

On social media, Calix uploaded a snap of himself together with Rj, who seemed to be helping and motivating each other to achieve their desired bodies at the gym.

“No need to hate where someone is starting. Every body has its own journey,” Calix wrote.

According to Calix, pageantry is not just about having a perfect physique and physical appearance.

“Pageantry isn’t just about the crown or having the ‘perfect’ physique. It’s about confidence, growth, and how you carry yourself on stage. Same with fitness it changes you not just physically but as a person,” he wrote.

For Calix, just like other male pageant aspirants, Rj deserves a chance to shine and improve himself.

“Everyone deserves a second chance to improve and to shine. Support each other always,” he added.

Calix previously won Mister Teen Universe and is a product of Mister Pilipinas 2025, while RJ is currently aiming for the title of Mister Pampanga 2026.

He recently trended on social media as he confidently embraced and exuded confidence in his curves during the swimwear competition on April 19.

RJ was a trainee at Star Hunt Academy, the P-pop idol training ground behind BGYO and BINI, though his journey was cut short. He also appeared in small roles in teleseryes like “Kadenang Ginto,” “Lyric and Beat,” and “The Iron Heart,” as well as performed in “ASAP Natin ’To” productions.

The Mister Pampanga preliminary competition will be held on May 3, while the coronation night will be on May 9.
