Sam Concepcion, KD Estrada lead ‘Bongga Ka ’Day!’ musical as star-studded cast heats up

Jeff Moses and Anthony Rosaldo join rotating leads, while fans speculate on mystery actress playing Annie.

Sam Concepcion, Jeff Moses, KD Estrada, and Anthony Rosaldo have officially been cast as the male leads in the upcoming stage production of “Bongga Ka ’Day! The Annie Batungbakal Musical.”

Based on the 1979 film “Annie Batungbakal,” the musical will spotlight the hit-filled catalog of Hotdog, the legendary OPM band that helped define the Manila Sound of the ’70s.

Concepcion, Moses, and Rosaldo will take turns playing Romer, a charming flight attendant who frequents the iconic Malate disco Coco Banana. Estrada, meanwhile, steps into the role of Burn, an aspiring folk-rock singer chasing his big break.
