SB19 joins NBA House lineup amid grueling world tour

This question from A’TIN continues to echo as 1Z Entertainment announces SB19’s upcoming appearance at the inaugural NBA House Philippines, yet another commitment packed into the P-pop group’s relentless international schedule.

The quintet is set to headline the event’s music sessions at SPACE at One Ayala in Makati tonight, August 29, joining the Prime Video Celebrity Showcase alongside NBA legend Jason Kidd and WNBA champion Lauren Jackson.

The crossover into basketball culture feels like a natural fit for the group, particularly for Justin de Dios, who played organized basketball during his high school and college years, and Stell Ajero, who grew up playing street hoops alongside various other sports. 

Meanwhile, Pablo Nase, Ken Suson, and Josh Cullen continue to anchor the group’s signature explosive dynamic, matching the high-energy demands of both the stage and court-side culture.

This local appearance comes on the heels of a demanding global run. SB19 recently performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago from July 30 to August 2, before heading straight to Japan for shows in Suita, Yokohama, and the Summer Sonic festival in Chiba from August 14 to 18. Their schedule shows no signs of clearing up, with the KPOPWORLD Festival in San Antonio, Texas, waiting for them on October 31.

Recognizing their massive reach, NBA Philippines praised SB19 as a “trailblazing P-pop powerhouse,” crediting the group for driving Filipino music onto the global stage.

Yet, while industry figures celebrate their achievements, fans are increasingly focused on the toll of their success.

“Super all around, literal!” one fan noted, while another asked the question on every supporter’s mind: “‘Di ba kayo napapagod?”
