Hundreds of thousands received the first payout, but invalid bank details caused failed transfers.
Social Security System members who qualify for the government’s ₱2,000 UPLIFT cash assistance still have until Oct. 16 to receive the second payout.
However, some beneficiaries are reportedly facing delays amid problems with their registered disbursement accounts.
On Oct. 3, the Government Philippines Facebook page reminded SSS members about the assistance, saying, “SSS MEMBERS: May ₱2,000 UPLIFT assistance. Isa ka ba sa qualified beneficiaries? Ang payout ay until October 16.”
The Oct. 16 deadline refers to the current distribution period for the second tranche of the government assistance program, covering Group 2 and Group 3 beneficiaries.
UPLIFT, or the Unified Program for Low-Income Filipinos, provides cash aid to low-income households, including qualified SSS members identified through government data.
Under the SSS component, around 1.5 million low-income employed members are set to receive ₱2,000 per month from July through December 2026, giving each beneficiary up to ₱12,000.
The beneficiaries were identified through data matching, so SSS members do not need to submit a separate application for the assistance.
To qualify, employed SSS members generally need a monthly salary credit below ₱20,000, at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026, inclusion in the 2024 PSA Community-Based Monitoring System, and an enrolled SSS disbursement account.
The first payout has already reached hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries, but some transfers were returned because of inactive, closed, or invalid bank accounts.
SSS said beneficiaries who have not received their assistance because of account problems should update their disbursement information through the My.SSS portal, with unpaid installments to be credited in a succeeding payout after the account is corrected.
Members who are expecting the ₱2,000 assistance should check whether their registered disbursement account is active and valid, particularly if they have not received their payment.
Beneficiaries should also check their registered accounts and official SSS channels for updates, as the agency has warned about scam messages and accounts falsely offering UPLIFT assistance.
