Three models are set to arrive in July.

VinFast is preparing to enter the Philippine two-wheeler market with its first e-scooter lineup expected to launch in July 2026, with preorders possibly opening as early as June.

The rollout comes at a time when motorcycles remain central to daily mobility in the Philippines, from commuting and delivery work to small business use, making electric two-wheelers a practical test of EV adoption rather than just a trend.

Three models are expected to lead the launch: the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. The Evo is aimed at entry-level riders and urban commuters, with a claimed range of up to 150 kilometers depending on configuration. The Feliz II focuses on comfort and everyday use, while the Viper leans more performance-oriented, with up to 5,200W of output and top speeds of around 90 km/h.

The battery solution

All three use LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries and support both home charging and battery swapping, with charging times of roughly 3.5 to 4.5 hours depending on setup.

VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker and electric vehicle manufacturer under Vingroup, is also building a battery ecosystem with partner V-Green, including plans for a nationwide network of swapping stations.

The company has been expanding its local footprint, working with 14 distributor groups in the Philippines as it builds out its retail and after-sales network ahead of launch. Pricing and financing details are expected closer to rollout.

Evaluating electric scooter portfolios for urban transit

Before placing a preorder on an upcoming e-scooter model, run a thorough audit of your daily travel distances. If your daily round-trip commute falls well within the Evo’s 150-kilometer range baseline, standard overnight home charging will easily cover your needs at a fraction of the cost of gasoline. However, if you run high-mileage delivery routes, map out V-Green's active battery-swapping station maps along your delivery zones to ensure zero downtime during operations.

When cross-shopping alternative electric two-wheelers, do not compromise on battery make. Always verify that your prospective scooter utilizes Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells. LFP batteries are significantly more resilient against the intense summer heat indices of the Philippines, carry an incredibly low fire risk, and maintain a long service life that prevents you from facing expensive battery replacement costs after just a few years of ownership.

For delivery drivers looking to maximize their daily earnings, carefully review the upcoming subscription tiers for VinFast’s battery-swapping program. Opting for an unlimited-swap monthly subscription package allows you to accurately lock in your exact transportation overhead costs for the entire month—completely insulating your delivery business from unpredictable price hikes at local gas stations.
