Wilbert Ross looks back on a decade-long journey after his sold-out concerts

“Hi, ako nga pala si Wilbert Rosalyn. Isang nangangarap galing Hagonoy, Davao del Sur,” he began.

Ross said that while many people saw him as someone who simply manifested his dreams on social media, he was quietly working behind the scenes to make them happen.

“Dati, aakalain mong isa lang akong dakilang ‘manifestor’ sa social media ng mga bagay na gusto kong maabot. Pero sa likod nito, tahimik at unti-unti kong binubuo ang mga bagay para mangyari ito,” he wrote.

The singer said seeing a packed New Frontier Theater singing his original songs during WRten on July 25 and 26 became one of the biggest milestones of his career.

“Ang dating pangarap lang na makakanta sa isang malaking concert venue, yung nakatayo lang ako sa stage, nakangiti, habang pinapakinggan kayong kinakanta mismo ng sabay-sabay ang mga sulat ko, nangyari,” he said, thanking fans who sang, cried, and became part of what he described as two unforgettable nights.

Ross also expressed gratitude to VAA Live, Viva Artists Agency, Viva Records, Viva Entertainment executives led by Vic del Rosario Jr., and the production team behind the concert, describing himself as “an architect with a blueprint” whose collaborators helped build his vision.

He singled out concert director Max, music director Choi Padilla, the De La Salle University–Dasmariñas Chorale, his band, dancers, creative team, technical crew, and sponsors for helping transform the show into reality.

Ross likewise thanked his celebrity guests, including Janno Gibbs, Ronnie Liang, Earl Agustin, Mika Salamanca, his fellow Hashtags members, Bea Binene, and Vice Ganda, whom he affectionately called “Mother Dear” for believing in him from the very beginning.

Addressing the comedian and television host directly, Ross wrote: “And to my Mother Dear, Vice Ganda na ever since naniniwala na sa kakayanan ko, na lage akong pinagyayabang sa mga kaibigan niya, Ma salamat sa lahat. Unang tanong ko pa lang sa’yo, walang pagdadalawang-isip mo agad sinabi sa’kin na pupunta ka.” He added that he was initially nervous because he wasn’t sure if Vice Ganda would actually make it to the concert, ending his message with, “Love you Ma.”

He also thanked his fans, collectively known as the “Fanmily,” including supporters from across the Philippines and overseas who traveled to watch the concert, as well as his family members who flew in from Spain, Australia, Japan, and Davao del Sur to celebrate the milestone with him.

Closing his message, Ross reserved special thanks for longtime collaborators Yael “Kuya Dan” Fortes and Kenny Opina, who worked with him from the earliest planning stages of the production—from the concert title and setlist to the guest lineup and every production detail.

“Congrats sa’ting lahat! Simula pa lang ’to ng Team Wilbert!” he wrote.

The WRten concerts marked Ross’ first major solo concert at the New Frontier Theater. Both nights sold out in advance, capping a milestone celebration of his 10-year journey in the entertainment industry.
