PBB housemates revisit their past as romance rumors continue to follow their cozy friendship.
Will Ashley has revealed that he once courted Mika Salamanca and was rejected, dropping the revelation during a candid moment in Mika’s latest vlog.
The two “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemates took on a 24-hour jowa challenge, playing along with the premise as they spent the day together.
But as the vlog wrapped, Will casually brought up their history. “Kung ‘di mo ’ko binasted last year, edi sana araw-araw tayong ganito,” Will said.
Mika responded: “That’s a topic for another day,” before Will added, “We are grateful that [it] happened last year… Look at us now…”
Mika then clarified where they stand: “We’re friends! We’re stronger [as friends].”
The revelation comes after the pair’s post-PBB friendship and travels sparked continued romance speculation. Their trips to Hong Kong and Bangkok drew attention online, while their matching and cozy social media content further fueled fan shipping.
Their current pairing also comes after both were previously linked to other PBB personalities. Last year, fans frequently shipped Mika with her PBB duo partner Brent Manalo, while Will continued to be paired by fans with his former love team partner Bianca de Vera.
Neither Mika nor Will has confirmed a romantic label—not after Will was rejected last year, nor following their latest vlog. For now, both continue to describe their relationship as a friendship, with Mika maintaining that they are “stronger [as friends].”
