For Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold’s Senior Marketing Manager and Festival Chair, the lineup speaks volumes about how the festival has grown in just three years.

2026 Puregold CinePanalo—trusted platform for Filipino stories

“The 2026 Puregold CinePanalo lineup is a revelation. Only three years in, we’ve already earned the attention and trust of some of the country’s most important filmmakers,” said Hayagan-Piedad. “We are indebted to all the participants who entrusted their best-kept stories with us. We are humbled and extremely excited to make these dream projects a panalo reality.”

In a short span of time, Puregold CinePanalo has become a trusted platform for bold and original Filipino stories that continue to gain international recognition. Its past editions have produced acclaimed works such as Kurt Soberano’s Under a Piaya Moon, Sigrid Bernardo’s Pushcart Tales, TM Malones’ Salum, and JP Habac’s Olsen’s Day, which have all earned accolades in festivals across Pakistan, Morocco, Singapore, the United States, and beyond.

With its record-breaking production grant and growing reputation abroad, it’s no surprise that this year’s competition has drawn some of the country’s most compelling storytellers—making Puregold CinePanalo 2026 the festival’s biggest and most anticipated edition yet.

The top 15 filmmakers will soon undergo one final round of evaluation, where they will pitch their projects directly to the festival’s selection committee. From there, only seven will advance to the production phase and complete the official festival lineup.

The final full-length films will premiere at the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, happening at Gateway Cineplex 18 from August 7 to 18, 2026.

Meanwhile, submissions for the student shorts category are still open. Interested participants may send their entries via https://tinyurl.com/PCPFFShorts until 11:59 PM on November 25, 2025.
