Marina Summers makes herstory as first trans to host MUPH 2026 Coronation Night

After celebrating seven years of drag excellence, internationally-acclaimed Filipina drag artist Marina Summers is returning to the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) stage, this time, with the mic in hand.

Summers will host the MUPH 2026 coronation night this May 2, marking a major milestone as the first trans woman to host the pageant since its launch in 2020.

“We’re making herstory yet again 😭💪🏼,” the ‘Filipina Winnah’ celebrated in a Facebook announcement post.

Fans will remember Marina breaking barriers in 2024 as the first drag artist to perform on the MUPH stage. She delivered a show-stopping performance of her hit single “AMAFILIPINA,” the very track that earned her a coveted RuBadge on “Drag Race UK vs The World Season 2.”
