Heart supports thalassemia cause.

In celebration of World Art Day this April, actress and visual artist Heart Evangelista and fellow Sparkle talents, like Shuvee Etrata, highlighted how creativity can go hand in hand with giving back

For Heart, art has always been personal with a deeper purpose. One of her recent works, “We Stand Together,” was created during a painting session with children from the Little Ark Foundation. The piece was later sold to a supporter, with proceeds going directly to benefit children under the foundation’s care.

Art with a heartbeat

Heart also expressed gratitude to GMA for helping spotlight the children and their stories, saying it was meaningful for her to use her time and art to support the cause she has long been involved in.

Her advocacy dates back to when she was 21, when she first began supporting children with thalassemia, using her platform and artwork to raise awareness and help sustain their needs.

Fellow Sparkle artists Etrata, John Rex, and Ericca Laude also contributed by supporting and showcasing children’s artworks, with proceeds turned over to the Little Ark Foundation in support of its programs.

World Art Day is celebrated every year on April 15.

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects the body’s ability to produce normal hemoglobin, often requiring regular blood transfusions and long-term medical care.
