Basketball star Kai Sotto and actress Rere Madrid share heartfelt vows, reflect on challenges and choose each other as they begin married life.
Basketball player Kai Sotto and actress Rere Madrid are now married.
Nice Print Photography, known for capturing high-profile celebrity weddings, shared photos of Kai and Rere’s special day on Wedensday, May 27.
“No more “you” and “me” — only us from here on out. Officially married, @kzsotto and @reremadrid,” it said, followed by wedding ring and red heart emojis.
In a collaborative post on Instagram, the newlyweds shared their wedding video, plus a heartfelt caption.
“Still feels unreal that we finally get to call this day ours,” they said. “First, we want to thank God for this wonderful blessing we experienced this year. Even though we went through challenges, misunderstandings, and people who tried to break what we had, we still chose to trust each other. Because of that, our relationship became even stronger, together with the love and support of our families.”
“We also want to thank our parents and siblings for being such a big part of this beautiful relationship. Seeing our families become one is truly one of the best feelings in the world. Now, we’ll continue chasing our dreams together, hand in hand,” they added.
Kai and Rere hard-launched their relationship in 2024 by attending the GMA Ball together.
Kai last played for Koshigaya Alphas in Japan’s B.League and Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s National Basketball League. He was also part of the Gilas Pilipinas men’s basketball team.
Rere, meanwhile, last starred in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.” She also appeared in “Unica Hija,” “To Have & to Hold,” and “The Write One.”
