Rhian Ramos, Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda shared how their fantasy roles changed them personally and professionally.
After nearly a year in the world of “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” Rhian Ramos isn’t just saying goodbye to Mitena. She is parting ways with a character she grew fiercely protective of.
For Rhian, portraying the complex and often polarizing villain wasn’t about switching between good and evil. From the very beginning, she approached Mitena with empathy and understanding, eventually forming a bond so deep that she now considers the character a friend.
“Never kong iniba yung atake ko, whether she’s on the good side or the bad side,” she told reporters during the recent media gathering to announce the series finale. “For me, Mitena doesn’t know that what she’s doing is wrong. She’s just doing what she believes is fair.”
Instead of treating Mitena as a straightforward antagonist, Rhian leaned into the character’s emotional gray areas. That perspective, she admitted, changed the way she saw her role throughout the series.
“So even in the finale, I kept that neutral mindset. Mitena became like my best friend,” she added. “Once you get to know your character, you become defensive about them, and you’ll defend to the death the choices they make. I just believe that Mitena is right for doing whatever she wants.”
That same emotional attachment to their characters seems to be shared across the cast. During the finale media conference, radar Entertainment spoke with the stars of “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” many of whom reflected on the surprising emotional bonds they formed with their roles after months—and for some, years—of living in the fantasy world of “Encantadia.”
Bianca Umali as Terra
For Bianca Umali, who plays Terra, the journey felt especially personal. Having spent five years training for and working within the franchise, she described the finale as a full-circle moment.
“This is the fifth year that I am doing ‘Encantadia.’ The first two years before starting, I was training for this. Ngayon na 2026 na, kumbaga full-circle moment na siya para sa akin. Iyong limang taon na iyon ng buhay ko, hindi po iyon biro para basta-basta ibigay lang,” she said.
“Lahat ng saya, lungkot, galit, at bigat, I acknowledge all of those as blessings. Kaya ko nasabi na iyong Bianca na nagsimula nito is not the same Bianca na tatapos nitong kuwento na ito. I do not regret doing anything. I went through every hardship for Terra and for the people who are with me right now.”
Angel Guardian as Deia
Meanwhile, Angel Guardian shared how playing Deia helped her grow stronger and more fearless in real life.
“To be able to play the role of Deia—iyong ipagkatiwala sa akin iyon, panalo na ako. At sobrang laki rin ng naging impact ni Deia sa personal kong buhay as an individual,” she shared.
According to Angel, the character left a lasting mark on her confidence and outlook.
“Iyong impact talaga ni Deia sa akin as a person—mas tumapang ako at mas hindi na ako takot ngayon dahil kay Deia, and I’m so grateful for that,” she explained.
Kelvin Miranda as Adamus
For Kelvin Miranda, Adamus became a reminder to lead with love rather than logic.
“Siguro yung pagiging pure ng puso niya. Lahat ng desisyon niya ay nanggagaling sa pagmamahal,” he shared. “Aminado ako, halos lahat ng tao ngayon ginagamit yong isip bago magdesisyon. Pero si Adamus, nagdedesisyon siya base sa pagmamahal.”
After a successful 47-week run, “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” heads toward its highly anticipated finale on May 8, promising one last cinematic battle for the fate of “Encantadia.”
Along with Faith da Silva as Sang’gre Flamarra, the new generation Sang’gres are set to face their greatest challenge yet against Mitena and Gargan, portrayed by Tom Rodriguez.
Directed by Enzo Williams, with Rico Gutierrez serving as overall visual director, “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” heads into its final stretch with the mix of action, emotion, and mythology that has kept viewers invested throughout its run.
The series airs its final episodes until Friday, May 8, at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime and Kapuso Stream.
That same emotional attachment to their characters seems to be shared across the cast, many of whom reflected on the surprising emotional bonds they formed with their roles after months—and for some, years—of living in the fantasy world of ‘Encantadia.’
