The ensemble is composed of Sha-ira Opsimar (soprano), Almond Bolante (countertenor), Joshua Cadeliña (tenor), Happy Laderas (bass), and Bogart Laderas (vocal percussionist), whose distinct vocal roles come together to create the rich sound of an entire band using only their voices.

Acapellago is a six-time Awit Award recipient for Best Vocal Arrangement and a four-time consecutive Ani ng Dangal Awardee from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It has likewise been honored with the World Class Global Award for A Cappella Group Excellence.
Internationally, Acapellago has assembled one of the most impressive competition records of any Filipino vocal ensemble. Among its achievements are becoming Grand Champion of the Vocal Asia 6th Asian A Cappella Cup in Japan (2019); First Prize winner in the Medium Group Category of the Moscow Spring A Cappella Festival in Russia (2019); Overall Champion of the CHVocals Golden A Cappella in China (2018); recipient of the First Prize Ward Swingle Award at Vokal Total in Austria (2017); first runner-up in the 3rd Asian A Cappella Cup in Taiwan (2016); champion of the AKA A Cappella VIII Asia-Pacific Championship League in Singapore (2016); champion of the A Cappella Championships in Singapore (2015); and two-time champion of the Akapela Open in the Philippines (2013 and 2015).
