Parokya frontman shares jitters, praises Flow G as collaboration becomes standout concert moment.

Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda admitted that even after decades of performing before massive crowds, he still got overwhelmed by nerves during his surprise collaboration with rapper Flow G at Puregold OPM Con Generations 2026 on Saturday night.

Posting on both his official and personal Facebook accounts, Miranda candidly shared that he stumbled over his words while performing the hit song “Kasama” alongside one of today’s biggest rap stars.

“Sa wakas nakanta na namin ni Flow G yung ‘Kasama.’ Nabulol pa nga ako sa sobrang kaba hahaha pero oks lang… sobrang saya pa rin,” he wrote.

The veteran rocker said the excitement did not end there, as Flow G later joined him in singing Parokya ni Edgar’s classic “Harana.”

“Tapos kumanta pa si Flow G ng ‘Harana’ hahaha ayus din eh,” he added.

Miranda said performing with Flow G was a special moment because he considers the rapper an inspiration, praising his journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the country’s most successful artists.

“Angas lang talaga ni Flow G kasi isa syang perfect example ng isang normal na tao na naging rock star (o Rapstar) dahil sa talent at hardwork… ngayon, he is literally living his dream, at isang malaking karangalan para sa akin ang maka-jam sya.”

He compared Flow G’s story with that of fellow rap icon Gloc-9, recalling how the latter once continued working as a waiter despite already having two albums before eventually achieving mainstream success.

Miranda also reflected on Flow G’s own transformation—from driving a tricycle to now enjoying the rewards of his success.

“Si Flow G naman, kung dati namamasada sya bilang tricycle driver, ngayon, kung makabili ng Ducati, akala mo kendi.”

He ended his post by saluting Flow G, Skusta Clee and aspiring musicians who continue to pursue their dreams despite life’s hardships.

The collaboration became one of the standout moments of Puregold OPM Con Generations 2026, drawing cheers from thousands of fans as one of the Philippines’ most celebrated rock frontmen admitted that, even after years on stage, performing beside an artist he deeply admires could still make him feel butterflies.
