The resident judge hypes entertaining new seasons, and says panel struggled to choose winners amid powerhouse lineup.
“Matatawa kayo sa Season 4. I swear to God!”
Thus teased “Drag Race Philippines” resident judge KaladKaren (or Jervi Wrightson), as she hyped the upcoming fourth season of the local franchise of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Speaking during a recent TikTok livestream, the media personality pointed to the strong lineup of contestants as the season’s biggest draw. “It’s very entertaining. ‘Di ba napaka-entertaining ng Season 3? Ay, matatawa din kayo sa Season 4, I swear to God,” she said, adding that the panel had a “really tough time judging the queens because they’re all so good.”
Host Paolo Ballesteros is set to return to the “Werk Room” for his fifth stint, following the recent Slaysian Royale season.
While the official Season 4 cast remains under wraps, online speculation has already begun, with rumored contestants described as including “a Swiftie,” an “aquatic queen,” a “high-flying aerialist,” and an “explosive ekla.”
The buzz, however, has not been without controversy. Early in July, fans criticized one rumored contestant for allegedly making an insensitive parody referencing drag artist Maxie Andreison’s physical assault issue, alongside her sister Angel Galang, during a performance.
As anticipation builds for the show’s return on WOW Presents Plus, the drag community is also taking a moment to honor the legacies of late “Drag Race PH” judge Jiggly Caliente and Season 4 contestant Misua. The official cast and full judges’ lineup have yet to be announced.
