SUD supports fundraising gigs to give back, reach more communities

OPM band champions causes, brings music to more audiences through benefit performances.

For OPM band SUD, music has always been about more than entertaining a crowd.

Frontman Sud Ballecer shared that the band has long been accepting invitations to perform at fundraising events, seeing them as an opportunity to give back while doing what they love.

“Matagal na rin kapag nai-invite ‘yong SUD sa mga ganyang causes,” he said.

He added that the band’s mission has always been to make its music accessible to everyone.

“Our music is also for the people at sana nag-e-enjoy lahat ng nakakarinig no’n.”

Composed of Sud Ballecer, Raisa Racelis, Patrick Felipe, Carlos de la Fuente, and Kohl Aguilar, SUD has consistently taken part in benefit concerts supporting various communities and advocacy campaigns.

Most recently, the band performed at “INDAYOG 2026,” a fundraiser for the Mangyan-Iraya community. They have also appeared at “All The Good Things Festival,” a sustainability and community drive; “Musikanihan,” a benefit concert for typhoon victims; “YR Goes to MIPSS,” a community welfare concert; and “PUP REVO: Sound Against Silence,” a benefit concert.

As the band continues to headline music festivals and concerts, SUD says it’s just as meaningful to perform for causes that allow their music to reach and uplift more people.
