The actor-singer says the series soundtrack aims to introduce international audiences to Filipino music’s strongest era yet.
James Reid is confident that “Someone, Someday” will do more than tell a love story. He believes it will also introduce international audiences to the richness of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
The actor-singer shared his excitement over the upcoming romantic thriller’s soundtrack, which features original songs from Maki, Angela Ken, and himself, woven into the series’ storytelling.
“I’m super grateful that we get to showcase in the show these multiple artists to perform their original music as part of the storytelling in the show. And I think it’s such a great time for OPM,” James said.
Having spent years in the music industry, Reid believes Filipino music is currently enjoying one of its strongest eras.
“I’ve been in the music industry now for a very, very long time, and I think it’s probably one of the best places it’s ever been in a long time,” he added.
Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, “Someone, Someday” also stars Kathryn Bernardo and Maja Salvador. The romantic thriller is directed by Chad Vidanes and Dolly Dulu.
The series premieres on Netflix across Southeast Asia on July 24, followed by its release on iWantTFC on July 25.
