BINI makes history with DreamWorks’ first ‘Taglish soundtrack at San Diego Comic-Con

P-pop girl group unveils ‘A Parallel World,’ performs at San Diego panel ahead of U.S. tour kickoff.

P-pop girl group BINI marked another international milestone after attending the DreamWorks Animation panel for “Forgotten Island” at San Diego Comic-Con.

The eight-member act appeared alongside filmmakers Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, and stars H.E.R., Liza Soberano, and Dave Franco during the panel held July 24 at the San Diego Convention Center. 

BINI performed “A Parallel World,” an original soundtrack released July 23 for the upcoming fantasy-adventure film.

Meanwhile, the track is also making history as what its producers describe as DreamWorks’ first Taglish song featured in one of the studio’s films. 

Producer and composer Nathan Matthew David celebrated the milestone, writing, “A Taglish song in a DreamWorks film!” Fans echoed the excitement, with one commenting, “Sobrang magical. Sobrang ganda. Sobrang nakakaproud. This song/movie deserves all the hype!”

The Comic-Con appearance comes a day after all eight members arrived in the United States, marking the start of a packed overseas schedule that includes the U.S. leg of their “Signals” World Tour. BINI will open the tour in Honolulu on August 1, followed by stops in Los Angeles, Rohnert Park, Las Vegas, and San Diego, where they are set to perform on August 9.

With a DreamWorks soundtrack, a San Diego Comic-Con appearance, and a multi-city U.S. tour ahead, BINI continues to bring P-pop to major global stages.
