Fans of Korean films and webtoons can catch five highly anticipated literary adaptations for free as the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) brings back the Korean Film Festival 2026 from August 7 to 9.
This year’s festival, themed “From Panels to the Screen,” spotlights Korean films adapted from popular webtoons and novels, with screenings taking place at SM Mall of Asia, SM City North EDSA, SM City Iloilo, and SM Lanang Premier.
The lineup includes “Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy,” “Yumi’s Cells: The Movie,” “My Daughter is a Zombie,” “Your Letter,” and “Love in the Big City.”
Admission is free, on a first-come, first-served basis, with physical tickets distributed at participating cinema booths one hour before each screening.
No online reservations will be available.
Aside from the film screenings, the festival will also host “Meet the Mentor: Webtoon Artist,” featuring Korean webtoon creator Lee Yunchang (“My Daughter is a Zombie”) alongside acclaimed Filipino graphic novelist Arnold Arre (“The Mythology Class”) for a special creative dialogue.
