Jollibee kicks off a five-year rollout for the Korean coffee brand.

Jollibee Group is raising the stakes in the Philippines’ booming coffee business with the local debut of South Korea’s Compose Coffee, betting that a value-driven brand can win over Filipino consumers and fuel a nationwide franchise expansion.

The company opened the country’s first Compose Coffee branch at Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on August 7, marking the start of a five-year rollout that aims to make the Philippines the brand’s largest market outside South Korea.

The move strengthens Jollibee Group’s growing coffee and tea portfolio while bringing another international chain into the country’s increasingly competitive café industry. It also opens opportunities for entrepreneurs as the expansion will be driven by franchising.

Compose Coffee has grown to more than 3,000 stores in South Korea, including 1,000 new locations added in less than 18 months. Jollibee Group said it plans to build on that track record by combining the Korean brand’s value-focused concept with its local operating experience.

The franchise-led expansion will allow local entrepreneurs to invest in the brand as it grows nationwide. Compose Coffee’s menu includes coffee, Korean-inspired beverages, smoothies, desserts, and other everyday offerings aimed at a broad customer base. The arrival of another major international chain adds to the competition in the Philippine coffee market, giving consumers more choices while pushing brands to compete on value, quality, and convenience.
