Actress reflects on her journey with Jason Abalos from young sweethearts to devoted parents.
Actress and beauty queen Vickie Rushton turned to social media to celebrate a major relationship milestone with her husband, actor and politician Jason Abalos.
Marking 14 years since they began their love story, Rushton shared on social media on Wednesday a heartfelt anniversary message for Abalos on Wednesday, looking back on how their relationship has grown through the years and how becoming parents to their son, Knoa, made their bond even more meaningful.
“Baba, 14 years ago, it was just you and me. Just two people who had no idea how much of life we would eventually share. And then came Knoa who made our story even mooore beautiful. There are days when I still can’t believe we get to experience a different kind of love as we raise him. Every day is a gift,” she wrote.
Rushton also expressed how her love for Abalos has deepened as she watches him embrace his role as a husband and father.
“Looking at you now and seeing you as a husband and an amazing daddy makes me love you in a way I never knew was possible. Thank you, baba, for building this beautiful life with me,” she added.
The beauty queen-turned-actress marked both the length of their relationship and their years as husband and wife.
“14 years of loving you and 4 years of being married to you,” she shared. “Happy anniversary, Baba! I love you sooo much,” she ended, adding heart emojis to her post.
Rushton and Abalos exchanged wedding vows on September 1, 2022, in an intimate Catholic ceremony attended by their families and close friends from the entertainment industry.
Their wedding came after more than a decade together, making their latest anniversary a celebration not only of their marriage but also of the years they spent building their relationship and family.
With their son Knoa now at the center of their lives, Rushton’s anniversary tribute offered a glimpse into the couple’s journey from young partners to husband and wife and, eventually, parents.
