Jhong Hilario shares an emotional goodbye with daughter Sarina, drawing heartfelt reactions from celebrity friends.
Actor and TV host Jhong Hilario opened up about one of the hardest parts of being a father and having to leave his only daughter, Sarina Hilario, behind because of work.
On Thursday, Jhong shared a carousel of photos and a reel featuring sweet moments with Sarina, giving his followers a glimpse of their close father-daughter bond before he had to leave for a work commitment.
“Ang hirap umalis ng ganito… Work lang si Daddy ng ilang araw, mahal ko…” he wrote in the caption, followed by a heartfelt, “I love you so much!”
For Jhong, the emotional goodbye highlighted the difficult balance between his responsibilities as a father and his demanding career in showbiz. While his work requires him to spend time away from home, his message made it clear that leaving Sarina is never easy.
Sarina, now 6, is Jhong’s daughter with his longtime partner, Maia Azores. Fondly called “Sari” and known online as the “Sample Princess,” she has captured attention with her bubbly personality and love for singing and dancing.
Jhong’s emotional post also resonated with some of his friends in the entertainment industry.
Actress and mother of two Jolina Magdangal commented, “I feel you!!!!!!!!!”
Singer Jaya likewise expressed sympathy for the actor-host, writing, “Kuya, ang sakit.”
Jhong currently stars in Coco Martin’s “Sigabo,” where he portrays the villain Django opposite Martin’s character, Gabo.
