The former PBB housemate opens up about her changing feelings toward her persistent suitor.

Mika Salamanca may have finally softened toward Will Ashley.

During a recent podcast appearance with the cast of “Saving Cherry,” Mika opened up about her love life, describing her status as “inaalagaan” (cared for) and revealing that she has finally allowed Will to court her after repeatedly turning him down.

“Paglabas ko ng PBB kasi, ang balak ko talaga ay sarili muna, trabaho muna ako,” Mika said. But Will, she recalled, remained “very persistent, very consistent.”

Mika admitted to rejecting him several times, but Will never took it personally. “Parang mas napu-push pa siya,” she said, describing how he continued working to become the kind of man she could eventually say “yes” to.

His persistence eventually won her over. “Sobrang bait din kasi no’ng tao,” Mika said, recalling how Will once surprised her with a grand gesture of balloons. Rather than simply accepting it, however, she felt the need to be honest about where she stood emotionally.

“I really have to communicate kung ano talagang nangyayari sa situation ko ngayon… kahit masakit para sa kanya,” she shared.

Then came the turning point. “Hanggang sa parang nahilot ako nang nahilot nang nahilot,” Mika said. “Sino ba namang ‘di lalambot sa sobrang init na tao, ‘diba?”

She eventually allowed Will to court her, calling it “the best decision” she has made regarding someone.

The two, who first grew close as housemates on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,” still have not put an official label on their relationship. Although their trips to Hong Kong and Bangkok have fueled dating rumors, neither has formally confirmed they are a couple.

Still, fans are reading between the lines, particularly in how Mika now speaks about him. “The way siya magkwento, alam mong masaya siya sa taong ’yon. Eyes can’t lie,” one netizen wrote.

For now, there is no hard launch and no boyfriend-girlfriend confirmation. But after repeatedly saying “no,” Mika has finally said “yes” to letting Will try… again.
