Frankie Pangilinan makes ‘alleged’ boyfriend Dan Laurel official with anniversary post

“sweetheart, though i’m certain i’ve loved you a long long time, i like this particular atom-arrangement quite a bit,” Frankie began.

She then gave her anniversary greeting an unmistakably cheeky twist, referring to Laurel as “mr. precedent” and recalling how he accidentally confessed his feelings before driving her to the Port of Batangas at the crack of dawn just two days later.

“a very alleged anniversary to mr. precedent who accidentally told me he loved me and then un-accidentally drove me to the port of batangas at the crack of dawn two days later and, as it happens, was always the only one for me. i don’t know what is wrong with you but i adore it nearly as much as i adore your sister. thank you for peeling my shrimp,” she wrote.

Between the affectionate declaration and the shrimp-peeling appreciation, Frankie managed to turn the “alleged boyfriend” label into part of their anniversary banter.

Her playful post also recalls her previous remarks about how entertainment reports continued to describe Laurel as her “rumored” or “alleged” boyfriend without giving her an opportunity to confirm the relationship herself.

During an interview with Ogie Diaz, Frankie said she had seen the articles but found it amusing that they repeatedly emphasized the lack of confirmation when nobody had directly asked her about it.

“I saw the articles that came out, and they were saying ‘rumored boyfriend’ or ‘alleged,’ But no one actually asked me to confirm,” she said.

She added that some reports even pointed out that she had yet to confirm their relationship, despite not having approached her for a statement.

“The articles kept saying that I had not confirmed anything, but no one had actually asked me,” she reiterated.

Laurel, whose full name is Daniel “Dan” Santamaria Laurel, comes from the prominent Laurel family. He is the great-grandson of former Philippine President Jose P. Laurel.

Meanwhile, Frankie is also marking another milestone in her career as she star opposite Elijah Canlas in “Edjop,” a film directed by Katski Flores.
