The 6-in-1 Synergistic Acne Scar Treatment combines six procedures to target acne scars at every depth.

Some beauty discoveries are simply too interesting to remain under the radar. And for people who have spent years struggling with stubborn acne scars, one promising treatment developed and refined by a Filipino dermatologist since 2016 may be worth knowing.

Hidden in plain sight at two dermatology clinics in Metro Manila is a six-part treatment designed to tackle something that ordinary skincare products and conventional laser sessions often struggle to address: deep acne scars that refuse to fade.

Developed by Dr. Miriam Adraneda, founder of Adraneda Dermatology & Aesthetics, the 6-in-1 Synergistic Acne Scar Treatment combines six dermatological techniques to address different types and depths of acne scarring.

The intriguing part? Adraneda claims a strong majority of her clients saw real, visible improvements after undergoing the customized treatment.

Rather than promising a miracle overnight, the approach tackles acne scars from multiple angles, addressing both surface imperfections and the deeper tissue damage responsible for stubborn depressions.

The secret is in the combination

Not all acne scars are created equal.

Some are deep, narrow pits called ice pick scars. Others are boxcar scars with sharp edges or rolling scars that give the skin an uneven, wavy appearance.

“Treating a complex, multi-layered acne scar with just one laser is like trying to fix an entire broken building with only a hammer,” Adraneda explains.

Her approach combines cannula subcision to release scar tissue, TCA CROSS for deep pits, radiofrequency microneedling to stimulate collagen, and fractional CO2 laser resurfacing to improve texture.

The treatment also incorporates platelet-rich plasma and plasma gel fillers derived from the patient’s own blood, intended to support healing and lift depressed areas.

Rather than treating every scar uniformly, the procedures are selected based on the patient’s skin condition.

Designed with Filipino skin in mind

Another interesting detail is the treatment’s focus on Filipino skin tones, which may be more prone to darkening after aggressive laser procedures.

Adraneda says some patients notice improvements after one or two sessions, but three to five sessions are often recommended to address deeper or more extensive scarring.

The doctor, however, notes that results vary per individual and no treatment can guarantee complete scar removal.

That’s why, as with other invasive dermatological procedures, careful assessment is essential to minimize risks such as pigmentation changes, infection, and further scarring.

Where to find it

The treatment is offered at Adraneda Dermatology & Aesthetics in Sta. Lucia Mall, Cainta, and Avida Cityflex in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Adraneda personally performs the clinic’s acne scar procedures, emphasizing individualized care rather than standard treatment packages.

For anyone who has tried everything from expensive skincare products to repeated laser sessions without getting the results they wanted, this six-part approach may offer another option worth discussing with a dermatologist.

Sometimes, the most interesting beauty discoveries aren’t about another miracle cream. They’re about a different way of treating a problem that once seemed impossible to fix.
