A giant mystery box installation for the upcoming ‘Super Mario Galaxy’ movie has officially opened. While the film’s general release is still around the corner, the excitement kicked off today with an exclusive, by-invite premiere showing at the IMAX theater.
Although the movie isn’t playing for the public just yet, the atrium has already become a major focal point for the local community. At today’s unveiling event, the space was buzzing with fans of all ages, many of whom arrived dressed as their favorite characters, including Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach.
During today’s unveiling, the space was a sea of red and green caps. Fans arrived in full gear, with notable appearances from local cosplayers as Rosalina, Princess Peach, and even a few Toads. The giant mystery box serves as the centerpiece for photo-ops, surrounded by themed displays that tease the film’s cosmic setting. The installation has quickly become the go-to spot for the Ortigas community to gather, share Nintendo lore, and participate in pre-movie trivia.
