Alden Richards hosts special block screening for ‘Meet, Greet & Bye’ as the film continues its box-office surge.

Alden Richards led a special block screening of the hit family drama “Meet, Greet & Bye,” joining cast members Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and Belle Mariano in celebrating the film’s ongoing box-office success.

As of Sunday (Nov. 23), the Cathy Garcia-Sampano movie has surged past ₱215 million in global ticket sales, drawing strong weekend crowds and maintaining its momentum heading into its third week in Philippine cinemas starting Nov. 26.

The film is also set for a wider international release, rolling out in Malaysia and Singapore on Nov. 27, Hong Kong and Macau on Nov. 30, and Cambodia on Dec. 12.

Now the highest-grossing Filipino movie of 2025, the Star Cinema blockbuster features a powerhouse lineup led by Pascual (Tupe), Garcia (Brad), Mariano (Geri), Juan Karlos (Leo), and Maricel Soriano (Mama Baby).

The story centers on the Facundo siblings, who fight to fulfill their mother’s final wish amid her battle with cancer.

In radar Entertainment’s earlier sit-down with Direk Cathy, she candidly shared her anxiety before the film’s release. “Nakakatakot. Kasi ayaw kong lumabas kayo ng sinehan na malungkot at umiiyak. Gusto ko sana, paglabas ninyo, masaya kayo, na-entertain ko kayo. But how do I entertain you when the subject matter is cancer?”

Despite the heavy theme, she said the team worked carefully to strike the right tone. “The creatives and my actors were very careful not to make it an ‘abusadong drama.’ Ayaw ko kayo saktan masyado. It was a challenge to treat a heavy subject matter lightly, but eventually, we found the right balance.”

The film continues to draw emotional reactions and repeat viewings, with Richards adding star power to its latest block screening, also attended by Pascual, Garcia, and Mariano.
