Angelu calls for real solutions.

Even Angelu de Leon isn’t immune to rising fuel prices, and she’s feeling it just like everyone else.

The actress and Pasig City councilor recalled being shocked when a full tank went way beyond what she expected, prompting her to speak up online. For her, the bigger issue isn’t just the price hike—it’s what it represents for the average Filipino. If someone like her already feels the pinch, what more for those with tighter budgets?

While she understands the government’s limitations when it comes to taxes and revenue, she says the real question remains: how do we actually help the middle class cope?

At home, she’s making small adjustments—unplugging appliances, cutting down on unnecessary electricity use, and getting her kids involved in being more mindful. It may seem simple, but for now, it’s what’s doable.

Angelu shared these thoughts during a quick chat on the sidelines of Digimap’s launch of the all-new MacBook Neo in Makati, where even conversations about laptops somehow led back to real-life costs we all can’t ignore.
