Awra Briguela opens up about nonstop online hate and why 2026 marks the year she finally claps back at bashers, stands her ground, and prioritizes her transition and self-growth.

Awra Briguela is no stranger to public scrutiny, but this year, the young star is choosing to face the noise head-on.

Speaking candidly about the constant criticism she receives online, Awra questioned why bashers continue to target her despite keeping a low profile and focusing on her personal journey.

Awra shared this via a video posted by Trishafied Facebook Reels, expressing frustration over how the criticism seems to shift no matter what she does.

Rather than shrinking back, Awra made it clear that she is done with pretending to be unfazed or overly kind for the sake of peace. For her, 2026 is about confidence, self-growth, and standing her ground.

“Hello? Hindi na ito ang taon para mag-bait-baitan or mag-amu-amuhan. Kaya ayon, paganda lang ako ng paganda. Upgrade lang ako ng upgrade,” she said, emphasizing that her focus is on self-improvement and personal happiness.

Awra also admitted that she is no longer afraid to clap back when necessary. While she understands that criticism comes with fame, she believes there is a line and she is ready to defend herself when that line is crossed.

Her resolve is deeply tied to her ongoing transition and personal well-being, something she feels should be met with understanding rather than hostility.

Reflecting on her past silence, the TV personality and content creator said she realized that not responding only encouraged more negativity.

“Ang new year resolution ko talaga this year is to really stand up for myself kasi masydo na silang namihasa na hindi ako pumqpatol sa kanila for the past years,” she explained.

Still, Awra draws a clear distinction between genuine critics and paid trolls, choosing to conserve her energy where it matters most.

As Awra steps into the new year with a stronger voice and clearer boundaries, one thing is certain: she is done apologizing for taking up space and standing up for herself.
