Fans link BINI leader’s vague post to rising social and political issues in PH.
“Nakakahiya, nakakalungkot, nakakadismaya.”
That’s what BINI leader Jhoanna Robles wrote as she took to social media to share a brief yet heavy sentiment.
While she did not specify the exact context behind her statement, the P-pop idol’s followers were quick to connect the post to the current political climate.
While she may not be known to be outspoken on social issues, Robles has expressed a willingness to learn from different perspectives and engage in, or at least acknowledge, the importance of these social discussions.
Fans also recalled her roots as a campus journalist amid the ongoing discourse. “Jho, buti naging P-pop Idol ka kasi baka isa ka din sa mga journalists na nasa picture after the gunshots,” an X (formerly Twitter) user noted.
The other members of the girl group BINI have yet to comment on the nation’s current state.
