The Quezon City-based designer has emerged as one of the country’s most exciting fashion talents through his mastery of structural silhouettes, architectural tailoring, and bold geometric compositions. His creations blur the lines between streetwear and haute couture, producing garments that feel equally at home on the runway, the red carpet, and the pages of a high-fashion editorial.

Bancoro first gained national attention as a Top 6 finalist in the 2024 MEGA Young Designers Competition with his collection, “Eleganza Extravaganza.” Under the mentorship of renowned designer Rajo Laurel, he presented a body of work that fused couture precision with the attitude of streetwear through dramatic color-blocking, angular construction, and experimental textures—a design direction he has been refining since 2017.

What makes Bancoro’s work instantly recognizable is his ability to transform simple geometric forms into elegant silhouettes. Triangles, sculpted shoulders, structured corsets, sharp paneling, and architectural layering come together to create garments that are bold without sacrificing wearability. They evoke visions of the future while remaining grounded in the discipline and sophistication of classic couture.

His meticulous approach to design began long before he entered the fashion spotlight. Bancoro first developed his eye for proportion and construction by creating intricate miniature dresses for dolls. That early obsession with detail eventually evolved into life-sized couture, where every seam, fold, and structure is carefully considered.

He also reimagines Filipino fashion heritage through a contemporary lens. Instead of merely updating traditional silhouettes like the terno and Balintawak, Bancoro reconstructs them into sleek, warrior-inspired forms that celebrate Filipino identity while embracing modern design.

His growing body of work has earned recognition across the industry. Aside from becoming a finalist in the MEGA Young Designers Competition, Bancoro was also recognized among the “Streetwear Designers to Watch” at the 2024 MEGA Fashion Awards, affirming his place among the country’s rising creative forces.

His distinctive aesthetic has attracted an impressive roster of clients, including Gary Valenciano, Donny Pangilinan, Vice Ganda, Cup of Joe, Maymay Entrata, Precious Paula Nicole, Eva Le Queen, Stacey Gabriel, and P-pop girl group G22. His creations have graced fashion editorials, concerts, television appearances, and red carpets, where their sculptural elegance consistently stands out.
