BOC clears 13 seized vehicles in negotiated sale, total proceeds reach ₱114.74M.

The Bureau of Customs has sold the last remaining vehicles linked to the Discaya case, fully closing the disposal of all 13 seized units through a negotiated sale that will channel proceeds directly to the Bureau of the Treasury.

The four vehicles alone, including a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, 2022 GMC Yukon Denali units, and a 2022 Maserati Levante Modena, helped push total collections to ₱114.74 million, reinforcing how forfeited luxury assets are converted into public funds instead of sitting idle in storage.

Across 21 sale lots covering ports in Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and the Manila International Container Port, the Bureau generated ₱12.35 million in fresh proceeds, with the Discaya vehicles accounting for the bulk at ₱12.28 million.

Officials said the process, livestreamed for public viewing, is part of ongoing efforts under its integrity, accountability, and modernization drive, aimed at tightening asset disposal and strengthening revenue collection that ultimately feeds into government programs and services for Filipinos.
