The “Tayo Sa Wakas” leads prioritize individual growth as they transition from a record-breaking love team into solo career paths.

On screen tandem Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, popularly known as DonBelle, confirmed that their upcoming film “Tayo Sa Wakas” will be their last project together “for now,” as they take separate paths to focus on their individual careers.

In a podcast interview with Bianca Gonzalez on “Paano Ba To,” Donny and Belle candidly shared the reason behind their decision, saying it is part of their personal and professional growth.

“We’ve done so many projects throughout the years. Me and Belle decided that for this specific movie, it will be our last DonBelle project for now,” Donny said. “We’re focusing all our energy to make sure this movie is worth it,” he added.

Choosing growth over comfort

As they prepare to explore their own paths as solo artists, Belle admitted that the transition feels scary.

“We’re really so dedicated in doing this project really, really well. We’re just so excited for what’s ahead for the both of us. I know that there’s so much that we are going to go through, it’s scary but it’s okay,” she explained.

Despite her fears, the actress said she also feels excited as she enters a new chapter and embraces fresh opportunities in her career.

Belle also emphasized that they want to make the film extra special for the supporters who have stood by them throughout their journey as a tandem.

“Now that we said this is our last for now, we really want to make it worth it for everyone,” she said. “Right now, we are just really giving our best, everything.”

“Tayo Sa Wakas” is expected to present a more mature side of Pangilinan and Mariano, highlighting their growth not only as a love team but also as individual artists ready to take on separate paths.

While the announcement may be emotional for many fans, both stars assured supporters that it is not a permanent goodbye, but only a temporary pause as they focus on personal growth and pursue new opportunities in their respective careers.

DonBelle, started their journey in 2019 and rose to greater fame in 2021 through the hit youth-oriented series “He’s Into Her.” Although they had met before the show, it was their onscreen chemistry that sparked their phenomenal rise in popularity.
