The “Drag Race Philippines” star celebrates her first nomination while teasing exciting new music coming soon.
From the drag stage to one of the country’s biggest music awards nights, drag performer and singer Arizona Brandy made her Awit Awards debut as one of the nominees at the 39th edition of the ceremony.
Gracing the red carpet for the first time, Arizona admitted she was excited to meet more musicians, many of whom she considers inspirations, as well as reconnect with her fellow drag sisters in the industry.
“Sobrang excited ako ma-meet lahat. Excited rin ako ma-meet ang drag sisters ko,” Arizona said.
For Arizona, simply being nominated was already a milestone worth celebrating.
“Thankful ako kahit anong mangyari. Sobrang honor for me to be nominated,” she added.
Following the success of her self-titled music, Arizona is also gearing up to release another song, marking another step in her growing music career.
With her first Awit Awards appearance and new music on the way, Arizona Brandy continues to carve out her own space in the local music scene while bringing her identity as a drag performer into the spotlight.
