Actor shares real-life bond with co-star, says their friendship off-cam is just as strong as their on-screen chemistry.

Dylan Menor admitted that being paired with Jayda Avanzado in the live-action streaming TV  series “Project Loki” served as a bridge between them, allowing them to build a special bond.

In an exclusive interview with radar Entertainment during the recent 17th Star Awards for Music at Teatrino Promenade, Dylan talked about his closeness with the singer-actress, saying that their friendship goes beyond show business and work.

“I think I’ve mentioned this a lot of times. I’m just very happy, very thankful na nakatrabaho ko si Jayda. She’s very kind, ang dali niyang katrabaho, and, in this lifetime, I got blessed na naka-work ko si Jayda. Katatapos lang ng ‘Project Loki.’ I hope may mga future projects kami, not just in acting but also in music.

“We’re always looking out for each other. We’re friends, not just at work, but even outside. Lumalabas kami, kumakain, we do other activities, like play sports. It’s fun. ‘Di lang siya work, but fun, it’s a genuine friendship.”

The “Vibe” jock is grateful that even though “Project Loki” is not a romantic series, their fans still created fandoms for their tandem.

“First of all, ‘Project Loki’ is not a romance genre, but of course, ako at si Jayda, na-appreciate namin ang mga supporters namin, mga JayLans, mga Tiktiks, mga Detectives who support us,  regardless,” he pointed out. “They’re there rooting for us individually or even us as a pair, ‘di naman talaga loveteam.”

Many people believe that friendship is the greatest foundation of a relationship. We asked Dylan if he’s open to the possibility of their friendship eventually becoming something more someday.

“We can never tell, of course. Like I’ve said earlier, close kami, we’re good friends. Sometimes,  nagba-bonding lang kami sa labas, we go outside, try new sports. Wala, kuwentuhan lang.”

For Dylan, his career is his top priority right now as he continues to prove his worth as an actor. “Yes, and I guess Jayda will say the same thing. Lalo na si Jayda, she’s very dedicated to her craft, mapa-acting man ‘yan, mapa-singing. Same kami, ganoon din ang mindset ko. Right now we’re on the same path, have the same goal.”

Dylan Menor delivers a compelling performance in “Project Loki,” showcasing his range in the action-driven series alongside a dynamic ensemble cast.

Dylan played Tripp Marco Palma in the hit Viva series “Seducing Drake Palma,” but due to a scheduling conflict, he was replaced by Zeke Polina in the role for the adaptation series “Dating Alyz Perez.”

“Siyempre it’s a bit sad. Nandoon din naman ang hinayang kasi in-embrace ko na ‘yong role. I was ready rin naman to shoot, may mga changes lang talaga na ‘di inaasahan. All you have to do is accept it and move forward. Right now, I’m just happy for everyone who’s part of DAP, and I’m sure they will do the best that they can,” he declared.

“Naniniwala ako kay Direk Crisanto (Aquino) and sa mga naging co-actors ko, sila Rabin (Angeles), sila Angela (Mujji) , si Zeke. I know Zeke is doing his best para mabigyan niya ng justice yung role.”

Dylan was one of the hosts of the 17th Star Awards for Music, along with Jayda, Marthena Jickain, and Jarren Garcia. The Kapatid actor was very glad to host the event. He said being a “Vibe” jock helped him a lot in successfully hosting the awards night.

“Honestly, mas lamang ang excitement, mas lamang ‘yong pagiging grateful ko kasi kinonsider nila ako, and of course, kasama si Jayda. And of course, to co-host with Jarren is an honor,” he said.“Hosting a music awards show is a different venture naman. It’s more about music, and right now, I try to focus not just on acting but also on music.”

“Yes, nakakatulong ang ‘Vibe.’ We do it weekly, pero may mga rehearsals in between. We are taught to relate more to the audience, be more energetic, and show our authentic selves to the audience,” said Dylan.
