Clarification emerges after a viral video sparked social media rumors involving business mogul Manny Pangilinan.
Actor and Starworkx artist Dylan Menor’s camp has clarified the story behind the bouquet of flowers he received after his birthday concert, following online speculation about a gesture involving business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan.
Videos circulating on social media showed the bouquet being passed around backstage before eventually reaching Dylan, prompting some netizens to speculate about the gesture and its connection to the business mogul.
In a statement shared by Dylan’s manager, Carlo Orosa, the actor’s camp clarified that the flowers were not personally sent by Pangilinan but were a special gift from Huawei for the birthday celebrant.
“As we stood surrounded by people at the back of the theater, a beautiful bouquet of white flowers was passed from person to person. After reaching MVP, it was handed to Chaye Revilla, and finally, to Dylan. The bouquet was sent by Huawei especially for Dylan Menor, a thoughtful gesture that made the moment even more special,” the statement read.
The clarification came after the video drew attention online, with some social media users speculating about the nature of the relationship between Dylan and Pangilinan.
Dylan is among the talents managed by Starworkx, the talent management arm of TV5, which is owned by Pangilinan.
The actor recently celebrated his birthday with his first solo concert, “D-Day,” at the Music Museum. Aside from acting, Dylan is also pursuing a music career under Universal Records Philippines. His self-titled EP features songs including “Maghapon,” “Sumasaiyo,” and “Sa Tabi Mo.”
