Before becoming Bridgerton’s Sophie Baek, Yerin Ha was already making unforgettable memories in Cebu.
Before stepping into the global spotlight as the much-anticipated Sophie Baek (the future Mrs. Bridgerton) opposite Luke Thompson’s Benedict in Netflix’s hit period drama “Bridgerton,” Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha was already making core memories in the Philippines.
During an interview at the “Dune: Prophecy” red carpet premiere, the actress warmly greeted fans with our signature “Mabuhay!” and reminisced about her 2024 getaway to Cebu, flying into the country to celebrate the birthday of her best friend, Bicol-born actor Mark Paguio.

Sharing snaps of their epic trip, she recalled canyoneering, swimming with whale sharks and a massive sea turtle, chasing waterfalls, and taking in the breathtaking views at Dalaguete’s Osmeña Peak. The tropical experience was so magical she joked she could only hear the “Moana” soundtrack in her head.
While there are definitely more beautiful spots in the Philippines waiting for her next visit, fans can watch Yerin bring the romance to the screen in the newest season of “Bridgerton.”
