The actress opens up about her dynamic with Rabin Angeles while unveiling a fragrance collection inspired by personality and emotion.
“Don’t call me ‘boss.’ Call me baby instead.”
Angela Muji playfully teased Rabin Angeles at a recent media event, where she opened up about their dynamic—especially that viral birthday greeting where Rabin called her “boss.”
“Sometimes, when we have arguments, sinasabi niya, ‘Sige na nga, ako na magso-sorry,’ then he apologizes and says, ‘Ikaw naman palagi ang masusunod. Bossing kita.’ It’s kind of an endearment na rin. He makes sure I always get my way by calling me ‘boss,’ and I think it’s sweet. He’s really nice and funny,” she explained.
While she doesn’t mind the nickname, Angela admitted she still has a soft spot for something more affectionate.
“Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Hindi kaya!’ Siyempre, hindi naman palagi [akong boss]. He’s really sweet. Dati kasi ‘baby,’ tapos ngayon ‘boss.’ Sabi ko, ‘Don’t call me ‘boss,’ ‘baby’ na lang,’” she said, laughing.
The story behind the boss nickname
At the recent launch of GeLaVie by VIBBI, in collaboration with Viva Beauty, Angela channeled that same playful energy into something more sensory—turning scent into a personal expression of identity.
The collection introduces a trio of hair and body mists that mirror her vibrant, youthful charm—qualities that have endeared her to fans both on- and off-screen. More than just fragrances, each variant tells a story, blending mood, personality, and a touch of kilig.
During the launch, Angela shared that one of the scents was inspired by Rabin, revealing how she naturally associates fragrance with people and emotions.
“This ‘Lush & Lollipop,’ iyong fresh na scent—kasi walang manly na scent dito. These are all neutral and leaning more into feminine. Pero this one, may clean and fresh vibes, mostly fruity. And for me, kapag naamoy ko si Rabin, very manly iyong scents na ginagamit niya—gusto mong amuyin palagi. I imagined him wearing this one, and I feel na bagay sa kanya,” she shared.
Introducing the GeLaVie fragrance collection
The GeLaVie by VIBBI collection features three scent variations—Candy & Cloud, Lush & Lollipop, and Sweet & Swirl—each designed to deliver a light, lingering fragrance perfect for everyday wear.
Beyond their playful profiles, the mists are infused with skin-loving ingredients such as aloe vera extract, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), betaine, niacinamide, glycerin, and triethyl citrate—offering both fragrance and gentle care in every spritz.
The project marks Angela’s second collaboration with Viva Beauty, following her involvement in the VIBBI lip care line as one of its ambassadors. This time, however, her role runs deeper.
For GeLaVie by VIBBI, Angela took a more hands-on approach—working closely with the development team and contributing ideas for the concept, scent identity, packaging, and overall personality of the line.
‘Bossing kita.’ It’s kind of an endearment na rin. [Rabin] makes sure I always get my way by calling me ‘boss,’ and I think it’s sweet. He’s really nice and funny.
